Bio
Naveen Bahar Choudhury is a playwright and fiction writer whose work has been produced in theaters and festivals in New York City and around the country. Her full length play, “Lies That Speak to Me,” has been presented or developed in readings at The Lark Play Development Center, Second Stage Theater, and Abrons Arts Center. Her short play, “The Kitchen -or- 9 and 1/2 Minutes of Subcontinental Absurdity” will be produced this fall at Ensemble Studio Theatre. She was a finalist for The Public Theater’s 2008 Time Warner Emerging Writers Group. In 2004, she received her MFA in playwriting from the Actors Studio Drama School, where she was a Dramatic Arts Scholar. She is a member of SALAAM Theatre, an alumna member of Desipina & Co., and co-founded Desipina CoLab. Ms. Choudhury is a member of The Dramatists Guild.
